Pixel Waste: Digital File Recycling Center

We invite you to send us the files sitting in your device’s trash or forgotten folders.

These discarded files will be used as raw material to create new digital artworks. We recycle your files into art

How it works?

For now, until we develop a more efficient system, please select the files you wish to discard and upload them through the link in our bio.

We will then use these files as raw material to transform them into digital artworks.

Yvonne Libenson #

#Y vonne #L ibenson lives digital waste as a way to digitally recycle multiple layers into a single image creating hallucinogenic ways of perceiving digital reality. The recycling process allows us to live and realize the materiality of digital files, becoming aware of its content and physical space. As part of a work that began in 2011, E-trash harnesses the transformative power of digitization to create a new intangible material, which is meant to help guide the viewer towards enlightenment.

Digital recycling is a project of the artist Yvonne Libenson, together with the TONCOVICH program internet recycling research program

Sacha #

Sacha is a research program on internet recycling, the main goal of this program is to become aware of the digital material that we generate as well as its disposal. In an era of content overproduction, there is still no perception of the garbage that we generate daily, within our computers as in the digital cloud. Sacha promotes experiences and projects that promote action on what we produce to generate recycling that accompanies the processes of nature, helping to lead a life where environmental awareness can be carried out from all aspects of our life.
